Some people fade into the back of the room at the Christmas do. Not him. This one puts a machine-gun Santa across the chest and a ho-ho-ho that lands more like covering fire than a carol. It is built for the bloke who runs the singsong, settles the seating plan whether anyone asked him to or not, and treats the dance floor like a team talk. The print is bold and clean so the gag reads from the far end of the bar, no squinting required. The 280gsm cotton-faced fabric sits heavy enough to wear straight from the car park to the bar without a coat, which is exactly where the noise tends to start. By the time the buffet opens he has already told the same three stories twice, and the jumper has done half the work for him. It is daft, it is loud, and it suits a certain kind of front-row personality down to the ground. Nobody wearing this is hoping to slip out early and unnoticed.
The joke is simple and it lands in a second. Santa, a machine gun, and a ho-ho-ho that suddenly reads like the trigger going. It is the kind of daft, slightly cheeky gag that gets a snort out of the back row before anyone has finished their first pint, and it does not need a word of explanation to land. That is the whole appeal. The best Christmas jumpers say everything in one glance and let the wearer get on with holding court. There is a knowing wink to it too, the festive version of a player who has never once been accused of being too quiet on the pitch. We print it sharp on a proper heavyweight jumper so the design holds its punch wash after wash, not just for one night under the fairy lights. A gag this good deserves more than a single outing, and a jumper that keeps its shape and colour means he can wheel it out every December and watch a fresh round of newcomers clock it for the first time.
A festive jumper only works if it survives the season and still looks the part by New Year. This one runs generous in the fit, so there is room for the big lunch and the layers underneath, and the taped neck means no scratching while he holds court by the bar. The twin-needle stitching takes the knocks of a long night without giving up at the seams, which matters when the wearer is the type to throw his arms wide for every chorus. Backed by 1,800+ verified reviews, it is built to be the one he reaches for every December, not the one shoved to the back of the drawer by Boxing Day. Pair it with the rest of our rugby Christmas jumpers if the whole front row fancies turning up as a matching, very loud unit. It makes an easy gift too, because everyone already knows exactly which mate it is for the moment they see it.
What is the Machine Gun Christmas Jumper made from and how is it printed?
The Machine Gun Christmas Jumper is a thick 280gsm sweatshirt, 80% ringspun cotton and 20% polyester, with a soft cotton-faced finish. The design is printed using a high-definition method that stays crisp wash after wash, and the neck is taped for comfort so it sits well across a long night.
How does the sizing fit on this Christmas jumper?
This Christmas jumper is unisex and runs with a generous fit, so most people find their usual size works well with room for a layer underneath. It comes in sizes from XS through to 5XL, and previous buyers consistently report the sizing is accurate, so order your normal size unless you want it roomier.
How quickly does the Machine Gun Christmas Jumper ship and can it be personalised?
The Machine Gun Christmas Jumper is made to order in 1 to 2 production days, then shipped on a 1 to 3 day service within the UK. This specific design is not personalised, it ships exactly as shown so the machine-gun Santa lands the way it was drawn.
Who is the Machine Gun Christmas Jumper actually for?
The Machine Gun Christmas Jumper suits the loud one in the squad, the bloke who runs the singsong and never knowingly lowers his voice at the bar. It is the natural pick for the rugby club Christmas party, a works do that needs livening up, or any December gathering where being the centre of the noise is the whole point.
