The Top 8 T Shirt
You spent your playing days head down in the front row, and you have the cauliflower ears to prove it. This one is a quiet brag stitched into cotton, because the pack really does carry the top numbers.

The design is the scrum seen from above, two packs bound tight and driving, every forward numbered from the loosehead through to the number eight at the back. It is the view only a referee and a drone ever get, and the joke lands the moment another old forward reads the numbers on it. The top eight. The engine room. The lads who do the graft while the backs stand around looking pretty. If you ever wore a single digit on your back, you know which half of the team this celebrates, and it is not the flashy half. Printed on strong 180gsm heavyweight cotton, it holds its shape through the wash the way you held your bind through eighty minutes. It is for the bloke who reckons a good scrum beats any try.
Every forward carries a quiet superiority about the numbers on their back, and this says it out loud without a word. The front five and the back row are the top eight numbers on the pitch, and this puts both packs down on paper so the point cannot be argued. There is real affection in it for anyone who has scrummaged in the cold and stood back up grinning. It does not shout, it rewards a second look, exactly how a good forward likes to operate. Wear it to training and the props will nod. Wear it to the clubhouse and someone starts the old backs versus forwards debate. That is the design doing its job. It quietly picks the honest side, the one that does the shoving so everyone else can have their fun. Browse more of our rugby gifts for players and fans to kit out the whole front row.
A design this specific only works if the shirt underneath earns its keep, and this one does. The print is high-definition DTG, laid straight into the fabric so the numbers stay crisp and will not crack or peel in the machine. The cut is long in the body and generous through the chest, made for the frame that spent years in the second row, not out on the wing. It sits well whether you are built like a lock or have simply enjoyed a few too many post-match pints. The black and charcoal both let the white and red packs stand out, so the numbers read from across the room.
What is this rugby t shirt made from and how is it printed?
This rugby t shirt is made from strong 180gsm heavyweight cotton and printed using high-definition DTG, so the numbered scrum design sits crisp and fade-resistant in the fabric. The heavyweight cotton keeps its shape wash after wash and the tear-out label stops any scratchy neck.
How does the sizing fit?
The sizing runs true to size but with a long body and a generous cut, so it suits a bigger forward's build well. We would still say check the size chart first, since our fit differs from thinner high-street shirts and you want the length right first time.
When will it ship and can the design be personalised?
Your order is printed within 1 to 2 production days and then ships on a 1 to 3 day UK service. This scrum design is a fixed print, so it cannot be personalised with a name or number, it goes out exactly as shown.
Who is The Top 8 design actually for?
The Top 8 design is for the forward who takes real pride in a low number, the prop, hooker, lock or back row who did the hard graft up front. It makes a knowing gift for any old front-rower and starts the backs versus forwards argument at a glance.
