There will be blood. And bruises, and breaks, and dents, and then a good deal of beer to see them off. This polo takes that battle-worn truth and dresses it up with a collar, which suits the player who has done his time in the trenches and now likes his rugby gear a touch smarter. Printed on a durable 50/50 cotton-polyester body, it holds its shape and its colour through everything from a lazy Sunday to a long lunch. The design reads clean and bold on the chest, so the message lands without shouting. It is a polo for the seasoned player who has earned the right to make the claim and prefers to do it with a bit of class rather than a scruffy old tee.
The line works because it states the physical truth of rugby with a deadpan shrug, and putting it on a smart polo only sharpens the contrast. A collared shirt suggests a certain respectability, and the blunt honesty of the slogan cuts right through that with a grin. It flatters the wearer as a man who has given and taken plenty of hits over the years and now wears his history lightly. There is dry humour in it, but pride too, a nod to the toughness that bonds every clubhouse. The high-definition print keeps the design crisp and fade-resistant, so the polo still looks sharp on the collar after many washes and many lunches.
A polo has to look smart and hold up, and this one manages both while carrying a proper rugby message. It suits the seasoned player at the club dinner, the golf day or a relaxed evening at the bar, where a collar goes down better than a tee. The 50/50 cotton-polyester build resists creasing and keeps its shape wash after wash, and the ribbed collar stays neat rather than curling after a few outings. It comes in black, white, solid grey and navy, so there is a version to suit every wardrobe. Made in the UK and backed by 1,800+ verified reviews, it is a smart gift for the old campaigner in the club. For more battle-worn kit, browse our range of Blood Sweat and Beers rugby gifts.
